AI manufacturing partner for hardware teams.

R&D and NPD teams shouldn’t have to become manufacturing experts. FirstPart helps you make the right manufacturing decisions, then own execution, from factory selection to quality and delivery.

the problem

Every new part goes wrong twice.

First in the deciding. Then in the delivering. Both show up the expensive way, long after the PO is signed.

01 · DECIDING

You choose blind, at the drawing

There are several ways to make any new part, each with a different tradeoff on cost, quality and time. You commit when you know the least about it.

"We spent weeks going back and forth with suppliers because every supplier suggested a different manufacturing approach."

Machine-buying lead · battery gigafactory
02 · DELIVERING

Yes to the spec, then the quality slips

Once you've chosen, a supplier agrees to everything, then the quality quietly drifts and the timeline stretches, and you're chasing a dozen vendors to find out whose fault it is.

"They'll say yes to any spec, and then the quality gets harmed."

how it works

From a drawing to a delivered part.

Start from what you know, even if that's just what the part has to do. We take it the rest of the way.

STEP 01

Share the objective

A drawing, a photo, or a sentence about what the part must do. 2D drawings, tight tolerances and assemblies are exactly what we're built for.

STEP 02

See every route, scored

We map each viable way to make it across process, material and supplier, ranked on feasibility, cost, time and risk, with the tolerance to open and the one to hold. A better call in an afternoon.

STEP 03

We build it

Pick a route and we make it at vetted factories in India. One landed price, our QA, our name on the PO. You deal with us, not fifty suppliers.

EXAMPLE: a chemically-etched battery shim, ±20µm, from a live pilot. Recommended route highlighted.

what we can make

Every route, actually available.

Most suppliers sell you the process they own, then talk you into it. We hold no machines, so the right route is simply whichever one your part needs. These are the process families we quote, build and stand behind.

CNC milling
3, 4 and 5-axis · prismatic parts, housings and brackets · CMM inspected
CNC turning
2-axis and turn-mill · shafts, fittings, bushes and threaded parts
Wire EDM & die-sink
Hardened steels and the features a cutter can't reach
Aluminium casting
Gravity, low-pressure and high-pressure die · tooling made in-house
Steel & stainless casting
Sand and lost-wax investment · chemistry verified on a spectrometer
Photochemical etching
Thin-gauge sheet to ±20µm · no tooling, no heat-affected edge
Sheet metal
Laser cutting, bending, welding and assembly
Finishing
Anodising, black oxide, plating, powder and liquid coating, heat treatment

What arrives with the parts. First Article and PPAP on anything new. Raw material checked against the drawing spec at a NABL-accredited lab before it's cut. In-process inspection, SPC where the volume justifies it, 8D if something goes wrong. FAI documents travel with the shipment.

Cast, machined and finished parts come back as one line item and one landed price, not three vendors to chase.
Every part is matched to a shop qualified for that specific process. Named factories, certificates and audit notes come with the quote, under NDA. We don't publish our supply base.

what we hear

The same problems, from every team building something new.

From R&D and sourcing engineers across EV, robotics, medtech and energy storage, in their own words.

"We released the part to the cheapest vendor, and half of them came back rejected. Seven months of hunting later, we finally got good parts, at three times the price."

Embedded lead · marine robotics
the cheapest quote cost a year

The supplier everyone wants "studies the drawing, finds the critical dimensions, and tells you, this tolerance can't be held; open it and the cost drops."

Procurement lead · robotics
that behavior is the product

Same part, quoted ₹10k, ₹20k, and ₹1L. "It doesn't have an MRP."

Mechatronics lead · marine robotics
price opacity

We scrapped a batch, then learned why 1.1mm avoids the defect. "The vendor never told us."

Founding team · home diagnostics
DFM knowledge is deliberately hidden

"A full chassis needs two or three weeks of proper study before it’s made. We’re always in a rush, so it never happens."

Procurement lead · AMR robots
the study never happens

"R&D asked for 0.05mm, but the process could only hold 0.5. The supplier ran a different process than we expected, and the part came back rejected."

why teams work with us

One partner. Not fifty suppliers.

Free to think, paid to execute. You explore for nothing; you pay us to make it real, and to carry the risk if it goes wrong.

Decide with confidence

The thinking is free

See every route and the real trade-offs before you commit a rupee. Understand which tolerance is costing you, and which one you genuinely can't move, in an afternoon, not six months.

We own the outcome

We stand behind the build

We make the route you choose at vetted Indian factories. One landed price. Our QA. Our name on the PO. If the part is wrong, it's our problem to fix, not yours.

Why us

We're in the workshops, not the spreadsheets, auditing the factories we'd put our name behind.

Have a drawing? Let's find the right way to make it.

Send us the part you're stuck on. We'll come back with the routes and a price we'll stand behind.
